Manufactured sand is crushed and graded in a plant rather than dredged, so what you get is Zone II material with an FM of 2.6-3.2 and silt below 3% - consistently, load after load. Because the process washes out clay and organic matter, concrete made with M-sand behaves predictably, and it is the practical replacement for river sand in RCC work. Supplied packed, per brass, per tonne or by the truck load.
